Vesmeter: Viscoelasticity Measurement Device for Skin for University Research Institutions
A viscoelasticity measurement device with enhanced reproducibility featuring pressure and angle sensors has arrived!
The Vesmeter E-100HSV is a research measurement device that can non-destructively and with high reproducibility measure the viscoelasticity (firmness and softness) of the skin. While inheriting the performance of the conventional model (E-100HS), it is equipped with two new features: - Pressure sensor: Real-time display of measurement pressure adequacy - Angle sensor: Quantification of the probe's tilt (contact posture) This significantly reduces variability factors caused by differences in the operator's technique and environment, enabling the acquisition of highly reproducible data. Additionally, - Suction type: The skin is stretched, local stress is uneven, and it is greatly influenced by the surface condition of the subject. - Vibration type: Waveform noise can easily mix into the response. Commonly, it overcomes the challenges of other methods where the measurement results cannot be scaled because they are not physical quantities, allowing for accurate evaluation in a natural skin state. Measurements take about 3 seconds per point, and data is displayed immediately. Usability in the field has also been pursued.
